Students will learn about Michelangelo, Claude Monet, and Piet Mondrian and their artwork. They will also practice the techniques that the artists used in their work. Students enter the world in the Sistine Chapel, where they are guided by Michelangelo to help finish the ceiling in fresco. After exiting, the students enter the Mondrian room, where they can experiment with shifting shapes and visualizations to create their own Mondrian-style pieces. Finally, students leave the Mondrian room and realize their entire experience has taken place inside Monet’s studio. Students see some of Monet’s major works inside his studio, and can complete their own impressionist style digital art. Students will especially enjoy some special surprise visitors to this world, and teachers can use the museum-level art galleries for additional teaching and learning.
